We are running a non-Internet connected environment with all machines joined to a domain. We use a third-party patch solution to manage and apply Windows updates on a monthly basis. We have just begun deploying Windows 11 LTSC 2024 and for some reason the patches all fail. The error code we received is 0x800f0838.

Thank you for reaching out Lychee-Ng,

At this point I am trying to install the most recent update (kb5070311-x64) on a PC which had an in-place upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 2024 LTSC. The patch fails shortly after initialization.

I built a clean virtual machine with the same install media, and the patch applied perfectly fine. I created a snapshot of the VM before I patched it. I'm planning to revert the snapshot back to the original clean build then add the VM to the domain and attempt to patch. I will let you know the results. In the meantime, please advise if there are any checkpoint updates required for the KB.
