    Hi Sourabh Kamble,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand that Microsoft Defender Virus & threat protection is not displaying on your laptop.

Before we proceed, I’d like to narrow this down a bit to better understand the scope:

    1. Which Windows version are you currently using (Windows 10 or Windows 11)?
    2. Do you have any third‑party antivirus or security software installed on this device, even if it was installed previously?

In the meantime, you can try these steps:

1, Restart the Windows Security related services

    • Press Windows key + R, type services.msc, and press Enter
    • Restart Windows Security Service and Security Center

2, Reset the Windows Security app

    • Open Settings, go to Apps, then Installed apps
    • Locate Windows Security, select Advanced options, and click Reset

3, Check if Defender is disabled by policy

    • Press Windows key + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter
    • Navigate to Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, Microsoft Defender Antivirus
    • Make sure Turn off Microsoft Defender Antivirus is set to Not configured

4, Temporarily disable third‑party antivirus (if applicable)

    • If another antivirus is installed, temporarily disable or uninstall it
    • Restart the device and check if Defender options appear

    5, Run system file repair

    • Open Command Prompt as administrator
    • Run a system file check to repair corrupted system components that may prevent Windows Security from loading

    6, Check Windows Update

    • Open Settings, go to Windows Update
    • Install any pending updates and restart the device

    Hi, good day!

When was the last time it worked properly?

Have you made any changes to your computer recently?

Do you see a blank page when you try to open it?

Can you take a screenshot of the issue and post it in your next response?

Note: Don't include any personal information or sensitive data as Microsoft Q&A is a public forum.

I look forward to receiving your update and I'm willing to collaborate with you till we resolve the issue. Do keep me informed by clicking "Add comment" below.
