A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Dear @imranahamdi-3872,
Good day! Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. I am happy to assist you!
If your college provides Microsoft 365 to faculty, you can use the built‑in Voice‑to‑Text Dictation feature no separate application is required. Dictation is available directly within Microsoft Word, OneNote, Outlook, and PowerPoint. To use this feature, please sign in with your college account, open Word or OneNote, go to the Home tab, and select Dictate microphone icon. You can then speak naturally, and your speech will be converted into text in real time. This feature supports automatic punctuation and is commonly used in academic.
For reference, please refer to: Dictate in Microsoft 365
With voice typing, you can enter text on your PC by speaking. Voice typing uses online speech recognition, which is powered by Azure Speech services. Use voice typing to talk instead of type on your PC
If you do not see the Dictate option, it may be disabled by your institution or not included in your current license. In this case, I kindly recommend contacting your college IT or Microsoft 365 administrator to confirm whether Dictation is enabled for faculty accounts.
If you’re unsure who the Global Admin is within your school account's organization, you can find guidance on locating them here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support
I hope this helps! Please feel free to reply below if you have any update or further concern.
Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated. Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day!
