Hello,
I have a Word document that contains separate sections, divided by section breaks.
The sections each contain a TOC for the section, as well as annexes.
In a section, the main annex headings are numbered with letters (e.g., Annex A (title)).

Required results:

  1. in the TOC for a section, for the headings of the annexes (which are TOC 4, TOC 5 and TOC 6 styles), have the page numbers prefixed with the annex letter (e.g., A-1 of 20).
  2. in the Navigation pane, have the Annex headings indented from the other headings in the section.

Is it possible get both of these results?

In the annex pages themselves, in the footers, I typed in the annex letter, instead of inserting it using the Insert > Page Number > Include Chapter Number function. This is because I don't want to use the Heading 1 style for the main heading of an annex, because then the heading of the annex is not indented in the Navigation pane.

I tried to get Copilot to create a macro that would modify the page numbers in the TOCs for the sections as required, but I've spent many hours at it without complete success.

This web page won't allow uploading a sample document in docx format, so I uploaded a screen capture of the desired result. Required Navigation Pane indentation and TOC page numbering.jpg

Would anyone have any ideas?

Thank you.
