To remove built-in or other apps in Windows 11, use these supported options:
- Uninstall from Start menu
- Select Start > All apps.
- Find the app in the list.
- Right-click (or press and hold) the app and select Uninstall.
- Uninstall from Settings
- Select Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Scroll or use the search box to find the app.
- Select More (three dots) next to the app > Uninstall, then follow the prompts.
- Uninstall from Control Panel (for classic desktop programs)
- In search on the taskbar, type Control Panel and open it.
- Go to Programs > Programs and Features.
- Right-click the program you want to remove and choose Uninstall or Uninstall/Change, then follow the on-screen directions.
Notes:
- Some built-in Windows apps cannot be uninstalled.
- If an app is misbehaving but cannot be removed, try Settings > Apps > Installed apps > select the app > Advanced options and use Repair or Reset if available.
