Disable Hyper-V in Window 11 home.

I’m using an emulator and running into an issue disabling Hyper-V on Windows 11 Home (25h2). I’ve tried everything — turning off Windows Features, using Command Prompt commands, even editing the registry and disabling Core Isolation — but I still can’t turn it off. System Information continues to show that VBS is running. Is there any way to completely disable it?

I understand the concern; however, Virtualization-Based Security (VBS) is a core security requirement of Windows 11. It is designed to significantly strengthen the operating system against modern threats such as credential theft/

Because of its foundational role in the Windows 11 security architecture, VBS cannot be natively or officially disabled without compromising the system’s security posture. Disabling it would directly reduce the built-in protection standards that Windows 11 is designed to enforce.

    Hi Tuan,

The best way to get rid of VBS is to disable virtualisation in the BIOS, which we do not recommend.

Do you want to disable VBS because of Performance issues as claimed by the Internet?

I’m eager to hear back and work together to find a solution.
