We have lost access to an azure app registration - how to regain access

Hello,

we have an app registration in our azure account created a few years ago probably created by someone who doesn't work at the company anymore. It isn't showing up in any of our current user's app registration list.

We want to restore access to this app since it is used for our Marketplace Offer in Microsoft Partner Center.

Luckily, we do have the app id for the app we want to restore. Already created a support ticket but was wondering if there's any way to restore access to this app.

To restore access to your app registration in Azure, you need to determine if the app was deleted recently. If the app registration was deleted within the last 30 days, it is in a soft-deleted state and can be restored. You can check for deleted applications by signing into the Microsoft Entra admin center and navigating to Entra ID > App registrations, then selecting the Deleted applications tab. If the app is listed there, you can restore it by selecting it and clicking on Restore app registration.

If the app was deleted more than 30 days ago, it cannot be restored, as the permanent deletion process begins after that period. Additionally, you must have the appropriate roles, such as Application Owner, to restore the app.
