Hey all.

Today I did something incredibly stupid amd fell for a Minecraft Phishing scam. It was a Hypixel Discord phishing scam.

Basically, I lost my account, I stupidly gave my email and used the microsoft authenticator.

Well anyways I got an email shortly after that my phone number had been removed. I didn't think much of it at the time.

4 hours later (right now) I find that my account was certainly hacked and that tbe attacker changed EVERYTHING. They changed the email address, password, authenticator, everything.

The good news is I have the the email address as my Xbox Series S showed the updated email address, still linked to my Gamertag.

Well anyways, I really want to recover everything, I've taken screenshots of the emails and everything should the need arise, and I remember old passwords, and info related to my account.

Can anyone help me recover my precious microsoft account?

I already tried the Microsoft Account Recovery form, and it told me that because 2FA is on, it cant help me recover my account. Someone please help, this is urgent. I would like to contact someone from microsoft to help, but accordimg to the Bot from the official number, thats not even an option

I am very sorry about what has happened to you. But there are not any real options open for you to try that will help you get your account back.

You can try Microsoft Chat Support, but they will almost always tell you that because you had 2FA on your account there is nothing they can do.

You must have a working Microsoft email account to use Chat or any other Support Services. If you can not logon with your current account, create a new, temporary one at https://signup.live.com

    • Open a browser to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/home/contact
    • Tell us your problem: "Account hacked or compromised"
    • [Get Help] {Scroll down to the bottom of the page} [Sign in to Contact Support]
    • Sign in with any Microsoft account
    • Products and services: "Other Products"
    • Category: "Manage Account Security"
    • [Confirm]
    • Choose a support option -> "Chat with a support agent in your web browser"
