Same problem here with a JBL Quantum810 Youtube and spotify acting strange and playing with x200 speed. After removing drivers and device from device manager reboot and reinstalling drivers problem resolved so far.

From business perspective seen multiple problems with Jabra Evolve2 65 headsets completely disappearing from device manager.

Some points to clear there was no update released on feb 27 the latest update was feb 10 which is already installed, what happened on feb 27 is AMD software got updated and prompted to restart.

When i restarted suddenly some windows updates were being installed which got stuck , i had to do hard reboot.

    after hard reboot.

    1. sfcscan fixed some issues
    2. checked there were no pending windows updates
    3. I paused windows updates for 5 weeks
    4. did a factory reset in AMD install manager software to force reinstall new chipset drivers .
    5. Rebooted and then sound issue was resolved.
    6. I checked device manager and AMD Audio Co processor was showing exclamation mark.
    7. Uninstalled ADM Audio Co processor and restarted.
    8. Now audio issue is resolved and AMD audio co processor also did not showed exclamation mark although i saw it was using old driver from 2024-12-12
    9. Also unchecked auto update for AMD Install Manager

I think 25H2 updates are messing with drivers trying to install old version drivers.

it is a mess with these 25H2 updates

    Hi,

First, check if there are any pending updates in Windows Update. If it's optional, check if there are any drivers available.

Access msinfor32.exe in the search bar, take a screenshot and post it here?

What sound driver do you have? Check in Device Manager under the Sound, video and game controllers tab > take a screenshot and post it here.

Go to settings > system > troubleshoot > Other troubleshoot > audio

    Thanks

Follow these steps in order, based on the update interruption and loss of audio in Windows 11 Pro 25H2:

    1. Restart to complete any pending updates
    • Select Start > Power.
    • If options like Update and restart or Update and shut down appear, choose Update and restart to finish applying the stuck update.
    • After restart, test audio again.
    1. Verify correct output device is selected
    • Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound.
    • Under Output, select the speakers or device that should play sound. This also sets it as the default.
    • If an external monitor (without speakers) is selected, switch back to the internal speakers.
    1. Check for and install all Windows Updates
    • Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
    • If updates are available, select Install now.
    • Restart the PC when prompted and test audio again.
    1. Restart Windows audio services
    • In the search box on the taskbar, type services, then open it.
    • Find and restart these services (right‑click > Restart > Yes):
      • Windows Audio
      • Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
      • Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
    • Test audio again.
    1. Reinstall or switch the audio driver

    a) Uninstall and let Windows reinstall automatically:

    • In the search box, type device manager and open it.
    • Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
    • Right‑click the audio device (e.g., Realtek, speakers, etc.) > Uninstall device.
    • Check Attempt to remove the driver for this device if available, then select Uninstall.
    • Restart the PC so Windows reinstalls the driver automatically.

    b) If still no sound, try the generic Windows audio driver:

    • Open Device Manager again.
    • Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
    • Right‑click the audio device > Update driver.
    • Select Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
    • Choose High Definition Audio Device (the generic driver) and select Next to install.
    • Test audio.
    1. Roll back the audio driver if issue started after the update
    • In Device Manager, expand Sound, video and game controllers.
    • Right‑click the audio device > Properties.
    • On the Driver tab, select Roll Back Driver (if available), follow the prompts, and select Yes.
    • Test audio after rollback.
    1. If still broken, use System Restore
    • If audio worked before the Feb 27 update and none of the above helps, restore from a system restore point created before the update, as described under "Restore from a system restore point" in Recovery options in Windows.

If audio returns when using the generic High Definition Audio Device driver but fails with the OEM driver (e.g., Realtek), keep the generic driver and block or avoid reinstalling the problematic OEM version until the device manufacturer releases an updated, compatible driver.
