"You can't edit your files because your license to use OneDrive ended over a couple of months ago"

Hi

I need assistance so I can access my patients' files. I've tried following Microsoft guides but nothing has fixed it. I've been using OneDrive for years and never had this issue before. I've not changed anything in Admin settings and the subscription has continued without problems.

Please can I have assistance to fix this ASAP.

    Regarding that you can't access the file in your OneDrive. I’d like to ask a few quick questions to better understand your situation and assist you more effectively:  

    I noticed your question is posted under the Business tag, so my initial guidance will focus on work/school (Microsoft 365) accounts. If this issue is happening with a personal Microsoft account instead, could you please let me know so I can adjust the troubleshooting steps accordingly?     

    Are you the administrator of your tenant, or is there someone else managing licensing? 

    Does any  other user in your organization have the same issue ? 

     

    For this situation please follow the step by step below:  

    Note: If you’re an end-user, please coordinate with your Office 365 Global Administrator to handle these steps.      

    1/In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to Users > Active users. 

    Select the affected user account.

    2/In the details pane, select Licenses and apps.  

    3/Expand the Licenses section, and then check whether a valid license that includes  

    4/OneDrive is assigned. If it isn't, assign the required license to the user.

    Note : Changes might take up to 24 hours to take effect if the user account isn't archived, and up to 48 hours to take effect if the account is archived.
