    Hi,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how frustrating it is when a corrupted personal Edge profile prevents you from signing in to Office.com with your work account and leaves you stuck in an endless login loop, especially when everything works normally in Chrome. This behavior usually occurs when cached credentials, cookies, or a damaged user profile in Microsoft Edge interferes with Azure AD authentication, which can cause the login request to redirect back to the starting page instead of completing the sign‑in process.

The quickest resolution is to clear Edge’s browsing data for “Cookies and other site data,” remove any saved Microsoft account credentials, or temporarily create a new Edge profile and sign in using only your work account, because this isolates corrupted personal data and forces Edge to rebuild its authentication state. You can also reset or repair Edge from Windows Settings, which keeps your data but refreshes the core browser components that may be causing the loop.

May I ask whether you have already tried using a new Edge profile or clearing the Microsoft account cookies under edge://settings/profiles? Please let me know what you’ve attempted so far, and I’ll be happy to help you move toward a clean and stable sign‑in experience.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel

Edge is likely reusing the same Microsoft account session across profiles or being affected by security zone/cookie issues, which causes the login loop when trying to use a different (work) account on office.com.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Use a separate Edge profile for the work account
    • In Edge, select Profile (top right) > Manage profile settings.
    • Select + Add profile > Add.
    • Sign in to this new profile with the work account only and enable sync if desired.
    • In that work profile, go to office.com and sign in with the work account.
    1. Avoid single sign-on conflicts by using InPrivate
    • In the work profile, select the three dots (…) > New InPrivate window.
    • Go to office.com and sign in with the work account.
    • This isolates cookies and can break the loop if the personal profile’s session is interfering.
    1. Fix possible security zone / cookie issues Edge and Microsoft account/Entra sign-in can get stuck in loops when cookies or storage are split across security zones:
    • Ensure microsoft.com, login.live.com, login.microsoftonline.com, and support.microsoft.com (and subdomains) are either all in Trusted sites or none of them are in Trusted sites in Internet Options. Mixed zoning can prevent cookies from flowing correctly and cause infinite redirect loops.
    • After adjusting, close all Edge windows, reopen Edge, and try signing in again in the work profile.
    1. Use multiple accounts correctly in Edge Microsoft 365 uses single sign-on per browser profile. To keep personal and work accounts separate:
    • Use one Edge profile for the personal Microsoft account.
    • Use a different Edge profile for the work account.
    • Switch profiles from the profile button in the upper-left/upper-right of Edge when you need to access different accounts.

If the loop persists only in the personal profile, continue using office.com exclusively from the dedicated work profile or InPrivate windows, which avoids the corrupted personal profile’s cached session.
