Trying to set up a new Outlook email address and do not want it to link to my other email address

When I went to create an account, it created some odd email address and it does say my name on top.

I wanted to choose my outlook email address.

How do I complete this? I am on a new computer and want it set up properly.

Hello, happy to help here.

Just follow these:
Go to https://signup.live.com and choose Create a new account.

Enter your desired email and complete the form with password, country, and birthdate.

Sign in at https://outlook.live.com with this new account only.

Avoid signing in with any other Microsoft account during setup.

You can set it as default in Windows Mail if needed.
