A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Hi @Liz @ Western Broker Services,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum.
The type of support Microsoft provides for consumers depends on the product you're calling about and if you have a product for home or for business use. You can indicate this depends on your current account type.
Scenario 1: You're using a personal account (@hotmail, @gmail, outlook.com....)
- Go to account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and if prompted, sign in with the same Microsoft account used to purchase your Microsoft 365 subscription.
- Under your Microsoft 365 subscription, select Cancel subscription (it might say Upgrade or Cancel).
- If you don't see an option to cancel but see a link that says Turn on recurring billing, this means your subscription is already set to expire on the date shown, and you won't be charged after this date. No further action is required - you can continue to use the subscription until it expires.
- If you need help, please reach out to the agent via: Microsoft 365 Customer Service and Support - Microsoft Support
- For referene: Cancel your Microsoft subscription - Microsoft Support
Scenario 2: You're using a work account (@onmicrosoft.com, @yourcompany.com....)
If you are the tenant owner and also the only Global Administrator of your tenant, you can follow the steps below to cancel your subscription, as well as manage or cancel any other subscriptions associated with your tenant. (Standard users will not incur any charges when a Microsoft 365 license is assigned to them.)
- Sign in at the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Go to Billing > Your products > Select the subscription > Cancel subscription
- If you want to contact a live agent, you can create a support ticket via Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Microsoft also provides customer service phone numbers based on your region. You can find the appropriate contact number here: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support
- For reference: Cancel your Microsoft business subscription in the Microsoft 365 admin center | Microsoft Learn
Please identify which scenario you fall under, and communicate with the support agent accordingly based on your current situation
I hope this provides enough clarity and helps you stay inform with your current situation.
