Hi @Ariana JordanÂ
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.Â
To use the Microsoft Office desktop apps, your account must be assigned a license that includes them under an Education plan such as A3 or A5. These plans allow full installation of Office apps on both Windows and macOS.Â
To confirm your current subscription, sign in at https://portal.office.com/account#subscriptions and check whether your license includes The latest desktop version of Office.Â
If your account only shows Office 365 A1, please note that this plan provides access to the web‑based apps only and does not include the desktop versions.Â
You can review the differences here: Compare Microsoft 365 Education Plans | Microsoft Education.Â
Once you have the appropriate license, you can download and install the Office package directly from the Office Portal:Â https://portal.office.com/account/?ref=Harmony#installs.Â
I hope this information is helpful.Â
