Make sure that you are the only one who has physical access to your computer because anyone who turns on your computer can access your data, apps, and saved credentials without needing a password.

Press Windows key+R to open Run then type: netplwiz

Press Enter to open User Accounts window

Uncheck "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer"

Select the account you want to sign in automatically.

Enter the username and password for the account you want to automatically logon

(Important) If you are using a Microsoft account, make sure to enter the full email address.

Type your full email address and enter your password and Click Ok

1. Go passwordless with Windows Hello (recommended for security)

This keeps the device secure but removes password use in favor of PIN, face, or fingerprint.

1. Open Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
2. Under Additional settings, turn on For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device (on Windows 10 this is labeled Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts).
3. If Windows Hello is not set up yet, configure a PIN (Windows Hello), fingerprint, or face sign-in under Ways to sign in.

After this, the account password will no longer be used on the sign-in screen; Windows Hello methods will be used instead.

2. Reduce how often Windows asks for credentials after the device is already signed in
