In "Details Pane" and "Preview Pane", some pictures show, but others in the same folder don't.

(Moderator Note, images blurred to protect privacy)

In the above screenshot, the 5th picture in the folder is selected and highlighted on the left part of the screen, and its image appears in the "Details Pane" on the right part of the screen.

When the 4th picture in the same folder is selected and highlighted (screenshot below), the "Details Pane" shows an icon instead of the image. This same problem occurs in the "Preview Pane".

The "View" on the left of the screen is "Extra Large Icons". Note that the "icon" for the 4th picture on the left is small, while the "icon" for the 5th picture is much larger. All the picture files with large "icons" have the pictures show up in the "Details Pane" and "Preview Pane", while none of the picture files with small "icons" have their pictures show up in the "Details Pane or "Preview Pane".

How can this be fixed so that all picture files show up in the "Details Pane" and Preview Pane"?

Your screenshot indicates those files are stored on your Desktop folder and synced to OneDrive.

For testing purposes, move out a couple of those image folder to another folder that is not synced to OneDrive and check if the image files can then be viewed in the Preview and Details pane.

If not, right click one of the files that cannot be previewed and select Properties, please provide a screenshot of the resulting dialog box.

Please do the same for one of the files that can be previewed, so I can compare the two image details.
