The message appears because Clipchamp is trying to open media from a folder that Windows or the browser treats as containing protected/system files. Clipchamp cannot access or edit files in such locations, so the editor does not work correctly with those assets.
To resolve this, move or copy the video, image, or audio files into a regular user folder (for example, under C:\Users\<yourname>\Videos, Pictures, or Documents) and then add them again to the Clipchamp project from there. Avoid using system folders or special protected locations.
If media still does not load or gets stuck, convert the files to a supported format (for example, MP4 for video, JPG/PNG for images, MP3/OGG for audio) and re‑add them to the project.
If Clipchamp in the browser still misbehaves, whitelist https://app.clipchamp.com/ in any privacy/ad‑blocking extensions or Edge’s enhanced security, then reload the page.
