    Hello peter heron

Thank you for posting your question to the Microsoft Q&A forum. I completely understand how stressful it is when your emails suddenly stop arriving, especially when the technical side of things feels overwhelming. Please do not worry; we will take this one simple step at a time.

Since Apple referred you to Microsoft, it usually means your Apple device has simply lost its connection to your Microsoft email account.

Here is the easiest way to figure out what is wrong and get your emails flowing again:

Step 1: Check your account on the web

    • Open a web browser (like Safari) and go to outlook.live.com
    • Log in with your email address and password.
    • If you see your new emails here: Your account is fine! Proceed to Step 2 to fix the connection on your Apple device.
    • If you do not see new emails here: Your Microsoft storage might be full. Click the Gear icon (Settings) at the top right, go to General > Storage to check if it is at 100%.

Step 2: Refresh your Apple device connection

If your emails are safely sitting on the website, your iPhone or iPad just needs a fresh connection.

    • Open the Settings app on your Apple device and tap Mail > Accounts
    • Tap your Microsoft email account (Outlook, Hotmail, or Exchange).
    • Tap Delete Account(Note: this will not delete your actual emails; it only removes the broken connection).
    • Tap Add Account, choose Outlook.com or Microsoft Exchange, and sign back in. Your emails will quickly download back to your device.

If the issue persists, please feel free to share more details here so we can continue troubleshooting. Alternatively, if you would prefer to connect directly with Microsoft live chat support, you can reach them by following these steps:

    • Visit this website: Contact Us - Microsoft Support
    • Select the product you need help with
    • Type your problems in the search box there.
    • Now click on Get Help > Contact Support below.
    • Go to the Products & Services tab and choose Windows or Microsoft 365 and Office
    • On the Category tab, choose Manage account security
    • Go to Confirm.
    • Choose to chat with a support agent in your web browser.
