Laptop freezing whilst gaming, lose keyboard and usb mouse control

Question

Hello, since January I have had a problem where not too long into gaming on my laptop, the keyboard stops working and I lose control of my usb mouse. I'm still able to use the mousepad, and once I quit the game, my laptop restarts. After troubleshooting thinking it was the game, I was advised to look at reliability monitor. Most of the time the crashes are a 'hardware issue', but also found one that said the nvidia container stopped working. I have attached screenshots of this, but also the dxdiag. Not sure if relevant but I haven't been able to update to windows 11 (Install error - 0xc1900200)

LiveKernelEvent 144 + USBXHCI + COMMAND_ABORT_FAILED most likely indicates a hardware-level error in the USB controller (USB 3.x / XHCI), triggering an emergency interrupt in the Windows kernel.

You can try updating the USB-related drivers and BIOS on your computer.

Additionally, inspect the USB-related hardware:

• USB hub
• External hard drives / SSDs
• Wireless mouse receivers
• Webcams
• RGB peripherals
• Budget USB hubs

If possible, please provide the DMP file located in C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\WATCHDOG. Upload it to OneDrive and share the download link. Thank you.

Hello,

I noticed that your computer has experienced BSOD issues. When your computer encounters a blue screen, we need the .dmp format files to analyze and locate the source of the error. The minidump file path is: C:\Windows\Minidump

If your computer does not have this file, you will need to adjust some settings:

Open Control Panel → System and Security → System → Advanced system settings → Startup and Recovery → Settings

Under Write debugging information, set it to Small memory dump (256 KB)

Set the Small dump directory to %SystemRoot%\Minidump

After completing these settings, restart your computer. The next time a blue screen occurs, a new file will be generated. At that point, you can upload the file to OneDrive and provide the download link.
