Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Please try clearing your browser cache and cookies, logging out and logging in again, and using different devices, as these steps may help resolve temporary browser-related issues that could be interfering with payment processing.

Also, ensure that your payment methods are up to date and have no restrictions imposed by your bank.

If the issue persists, you will need to contact Microsoft Billing Support for further assistance, as they have the tools and resources to properly investigate this case:

    https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=S.HP.SmcContactUsLanding

Type "Billing issue" > click "Get Help" > Scroll down to Sign in to Contact Support > Microsoft 365 and Office > Billing and Payment Updates > Confirm > Chat with a support agent in your web browser

Thank you for your understanding! Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

Several common issues can cause card problems when trying to buy Minecraft or other Microsoft Store content.

    Try these checks in order:

    1. Verify card details exactly
Make sure the name, billing address, card number, expiration date, and CVV match exactly what the bank has on file and what appears on the statement. Even small mismatches can cause a decline.
    2. Check card country/region support
The payment method must be valid for the country/region set on the Microsoft account and in the Store. Some regions only support certain card types:
      • Hong Kong SAR and Brazil: only credit cards are supported.
      • India: only Visa and Mastercard debit/credit are supported. If the card is from a different country/region than the account, it may be rejected.
    3. Avoid virtual or prepaid cards
Prepaid and virtual cards are not accepted for some Microsoft Marketplace purchases, which can cause repeated failures.
    4. Confirm the card is active and has funds
Contact the bank or card issuer to confirm:
      • The card is active and not blocked.
      • There are sufficient funds or credit.
      • Online and international transactions are allowed. If the card keeps getting declined after confirming details, the bank may be blocking the transaction for security reasons and must clear it.
    5. Update or change the payment method in the account
Go to the Microsoft account billing area (Payment options / Services & subscriptions) and:
      • Ensure the card is not expired.
      • Update any outdated information.
      • Try adding a different supported payment method (for example, another credit/debit card or PayPal with a valid funding source, if available in the region).
    6. Check for other account or billing issues
      • Make sure there are no overdue subscription payments on the account. Overdue balances can interfere with new purchases.
      • Confirm the account is not temporarily suspended.
      • Ensure antivirus or browser settings are not blocking payment pop‑ups or confirmation windows.
    7. If the card is still declined
      For business/tenant scenarios, Microsoft recommends:
      • Double‑checking all card details and resubmitting.
      • Confirming again with the bank that the card is active and not being blocked. If the problem persists, contact Microsoft support or billing so they can review the payment attempt and advise next steps.
