Product key not recognized for MS 365 Personnel for my Apple Laptop

Brand new package opened with not yet used product key. System indicates that the product key is incorrect.

Try redeeming your Microsoft Office product key using the steps below:

1. Open a new Incognito/Private browsing window.
2. Paste this link into the address bar and press Enter: https://setup.office.com/redeem/enter-key
3. Click Get Started. You will be redirected to the Enter your product key page.
4. Enter your 25-character product key.
5. When prompted, sign in with the Microsoft account you want to associate with this product. (This step is important/ Once the product is associated with a Microsoft account, you cannot transfer it to anothet account)
6. After successful redemption, you should see your Office license under your Microsoft account on the Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services

If you have previous Office apps installed on your device, uninstall them first, then reinstall Office using the newly redeemed license.
