Follow these steps to install Microsoft 365 on another laptop using an existing subscription:

    1. On the new laptop, open a browser and go to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps.
    2. Select Sign in and sign in with the same Microsoft account (or work/school account) that is associated with the existing Microsoft 365 subscription.
    3. After signing in:
      • If using a personal Microsoft account, on the Apps page select Install apps > Install to download the installer.
      • If using a business account, select Install and more > Install Microsoft 365 apps, then select Install Office.
    4. When the OfficeSetup.exe file finishes downloading, open it.
    5. If prompted by User Account Control asking whether to allow the app to make changes, select Yes.
    6. Wait for the installation to complete.
    7. Open an app such as Word or Excel; if prompted, sign in with the same subscription account to activate.

    Notes:

    • A Microsoft 365 subscription allows installation on all devices and being signed in on up to five at the same time.
    • If no install option appears after signing in, there may be an account or license issue; use the Need help? options on the page to review account questions.
