touchpad not working

my touchpad suddenly stopped working and when i checked the drivers the touchpad driver was grayed out . it also showed me a code 45 error when i hover over the driver.
when i click " show hidden " i found the 12cHID device grayed out and displayed a code 10 ( i uploaded a screenshot for reference) and when i check the  HID complaint mouse it shows a code 45 .
can anyone help with this?1

    Hi! Let me help you with this issue.

    Please uninstall the corrupted touchpad driver.

    Here are the steps to completely remove the device from your computer:

    Step 1. Press the Windows key + X shortcut.

    Step 2. Select Device Manager.

    Step 3. Expand Mice and other pointing devices (or Human Interface Devices, depending on your system). Right-click the corrupted driver that shows in your screenshot, then select Uninstall device.

    Step 4. Check the option Delete the driver software for this device (if available), then click Uninstall.

    Step 5. Restart the computer.

    After the reboot, Windows should automatically reinstall the default touchpad driver. Please check if the issue is resolved.

    If the problem persists, visit your laptop or desktop manufacturer’s official support website and download the latest Touchpad driver specific to your model. Install it, then restart your PC.
