If it works with your mobile hotspot, then the issue is not necessarily on your computer.

So I am connected to my home wifi and it isnt giving mw internet. I try my mobile Hotspot and it works fine. I have looked to see if I have a active vpn installed. I have reinstalled my wifi drivers. I have no idea what is happening. This all happened after I was forced to do a windows update

- Go to Device Manager > Network Adapters, I would like to see what's listed.
- Please type msinfo32.exe in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, then share a screenshot of the pop up.

In addition, can you access your wifi's admin portal? And make sure you don't have any restriction set up for devices or MAC address?

Please type cmd in the search on the taskbar. Don't press enter key yet. Instead, choose "run as administrator" to launch Command Prompt.
Then run these commands, one at a time, then forget your wifi completely, and reconnect. then see if you can connect to wifi again.
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns

Whenever you see an IPv4 starting with 169, that's not normal.
Let's go through a few things.
Settings > Network & Internet > WiFi > Manage known networks > your home WiFi > Forget. See if reconnect helps.
Then on the WiFI page, click on your home wifi ssid, then make sure Random hardware addresses is turned OFF.
Reboot the router after that.
Let me know how that goes.

Now that you are not connected with the hotspot, can you run these commands again, and let me know if it makes any difference after that
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /all
If not, go on with these commands:
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /flushdns
shutdown /r /t 0
Let me know how it goes. If it still doesn't work, run the ipconfig again and let me see the screenshot. I want to see if anything changes.

Windows update likely left the Wifi adapter or DHCP client in a bad state. The shut down command basically works like a full restart (fully reinitialized the adapter and DHCP process), it forced the network stack and driver to reload and request a fresh IP address from the router, which restored connectivity.
Since it only works for 5 minutes, I would recommend these:
Do a power reset.
To do so, turn off the computer, unplug the computer from the power cord, then hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Turn the computer back on to see if it works.
If the issue continues. go here, download and OEM driver and install it: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19351/intel-wireless-wi-fi-drivers-for-windows-10-and-windows-11.html
On the router side, pelase see if there's firmware you can update. if so, do that as well. You should find it via router admin portal.
