The Hotmail account appears to be hacked or otherwise compromised. Only Microsoft’s official automated recovery process can restore access.

Follow these steps:

1. Use the hacked/compromised account recovery flow

   • Select Start (this opens the sign-in helper) and enter the Hotmail address and any phone number or alternate email on the account.
   • Follow the prompts to either get self‑help steps or be offered a chance to talk to an agent.
2. If the password no longer works
