Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hello @Raihan Ahmed,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.
Regarding to your issue, I just want to clarify that: if the “mother account” you mentioned is a Hotmail account (for example, @hotmail.com or @outlook.com), that is considered a personal Microsoft account.
The Microsoft 365 Admin Center can only be accessed using a work or school account (such as ******@yourdomain.com). So a regular Hotmail account would not work for signing in as a Global Admin unless it was specifically added to the tenant and granted admin permissions.
If you no longer remember the Global Admin username or password and cannot reset it, this would be considered an account recovery scenario. In that case, you’ll need to contact Microsoft Support directly so they can verify ownership and help restore access.
Option 1: Contact Microsoft Support by phone
You can find the customer service number for your country or region here: Customer service phone numbers
When connected to the automated system, you may respond to the prompts similar to the following (as applicable):
- Issue: Authenticator / MFA
- Product: Microsoft 365 (Business or Education, depending on your subscription)
- Account Type: Business or Education account
- Administrator: Yes
- Other administrators available: No
- Create a support request: Yes
This should route you to the appropriate support team for account access and MFA recovery scenarios.
Option 2: Create a temporary tenant to submit a support request
If you are unable to reach support by phone, you may create a temporary Microsoft 365 trial tenant solely for the purpose of contacting support:
As an alternative, you can create a new tenant account and submit your request from there.
To set up a new tenant, please follow these steps:
- Visit Compare Office 365 Enterprise Pricing and Plans | Microsoft 365, choose any plan and click try for free to start a free trial.
- Follow the guided setup process to create a new account for a new tenant.
- Once your tenant is created, you should be able to access the support portal and submit your ticket without further issues
- Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center of the trial tenant.
- Go to Support > Help & Support, and create a new support request.
- Clearly explain that you are locked out of a separate existing Microsoft 365 tenant where you are the only administrator.
- Provide the following details:
- The email address of the blocked administrator account
- The domain name of the affected tenant
- Any error messages received
- A brief description of the MFA issue
Please note:
- The trial tenant does not grant access to the locked tenant’s data. It is used only to reach Microsoft Support.
- Microsoft Support will require verification to confirm your identity and tenant ownership before making any changes.
- Be sure to cancel the trial subscription once the issue is resolved to avoid potential charges. Hope this answer can help you with your concerns.
