What keys are used for less than and greater than?

It depends on your physical keyboard language layout on your system, usually, the less than and greater than symbols are on the keys to the right of the M key, if you do not see those keys, please provide a photo of your physical keyboard.

On a standard keyboard, the less than and greater than symbols are typed directly using their dedicated keys:

• Less than: <
• Greater than: >

On most keyboards these share a key, usually to the right of the comma , and left of the question mark / key. Type them as follows:

• Press Shift + , to get < (less than).
• Press Shift + . to get > (greater than).

In Excel (and other Office apps), these characters are also recognized as comparison operators, for example in formulas like =A1<10 or =A1>10.
