How to assign microsoft 365 subscription to another email?

I originally bought MS 365 last year under my @live.com account.

I mistakenly bought another MS 365 subscription under my @yahoo.com account, as an attempt to renew my account.

Is it possible to switch this around so that I don't have to delete/reinstall?

The AI-generated reply is correct. You can't move a subscription from one account to another.

If possible, cancel the subscription for the account that you don't want to use. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/cancel-a-microsoft-365-subscription-46e2634c-c64b-4c65-94b9-2cc9c960e91b .

You will have to order a new subscription for the correct account, if you don't already have one for that account.

A Microsoft 365 subscription cannot be transferred from one Microsoft account (email) to another. The subscription is permanently tied to the account used when it was purchased or redeemed.

    In this case:

    • The subscription bought under the @live.com account will remain associated with @live.com.
    • The subscription bought under the @yahoo.com account will remain associated with @yahoo.com.

There is no supported way to “move” or merge the @yahoo.com subscription onto the @live.com account, and subscriptions cannot be transferred between Microsoft accounts.

To avoid reinstalling, sign in to the apps with the account that actually has the active subscription you want to use. If the wrong subscription was purchased and is unused, the only options are to let it expire or contact support for billing options, but it still cannot be reassigned to another email.
