Recent problem with typing " or '

Question

Since recent update, whenever I try typing " or ', it won't appear until pressing it again, then appears double. Some keyboard language issue I believe, as to temporarily sort, I have to change English language versions back and forth in settings. But it doesn't stay fixed, keeps reoccurring. It's a small problem, I know, but it is so frustrating. Any Ideas?

This is probably happening because you have set another keyboard layout. If you have the United States International keyboard layout set, it will work the way you described.

Hold Windows Key and press space to change the keyboard layout; your keyboard layout should be QWERTY-US.
To avoid this from happening again, you can delete the additional keyboard layouts, go to the language settings, select the three dots next to English > Language options > Remove the additional layouts under "Keyboards"
