Refund for Minecraft gift region error

Hello, I purchased Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC as a gift in Germany. My friend in California cannot redeem it because of a region error. The code has not been redeemed. I would like a refund. I tried to refund through Order history but the refund button does not appear, Help.

Since you have not redeemed it, you cannot receive a refund. You would have to do it from the account key was purchased.

Refunds have some policies and are handled on the Xbox side.

For games, additional conditions apply that require playing less than some specific hours.
