Hello 俊杰 徐,
Thank you for reporting this issue and for sharing the error details.
Based on my investigation, this 500 – “Something went wrong” message when signing in to the Visual Studio Marketplace is caused by a service‑side issue in the Marketplace sign‑in system, not by your account, device, or browser settings. I've seen multiple reports of the same behavior occurring during the same timeframe, and Microsoft is actively tracing these errors using the correlation ID shown on the error page.
These steps may help in some cases, but they may not work if the service issue is still ongoing:
- Open the Marketplace in an InPrivate / Incognito browser window and sign in from there
- Make sure you are signed out of other Microsoft accounts in the browser before trying again
- If you use multiple work or personal accounts, confirm the correct account/tenant is selected after sign‑in
If the issue continues, please click “Contact support” on the error page and include the following details so Microsoft can trace it:
- Timestamp: 2026/03/02 02:29:07 (UTC)
- Correlation ID:
68966025-7dea-43c3-b357-51c7633b353e
If you are only installing extensions, you can usually continue to do so directly inside Visual Studio Code, as this uses a different sign‑in flow than the web Marketplace.
We understand how disruptive this can be, especially if you need to manage or publish extensions, and we appreciate your patience while the Marketplace team resolves the service issue.
Please let us know if you see any change or if you need help contacting support.
If you find this answer helpful, it's appreciated to accept the answer. Please let me know if you have further questions.
Have a nice day.
