    Hi, I'm John!

Does the issue persist even after trying to redeem using another device or a different internet connection? If you haven't, please try and check if the issue still persists.

If issue still persists, I suggest contacting the Microsoft Rewards team for further assistance so they can take a closer look at the issue: https://rewards.bing.com/support

If you’ve already filled out the contact form and haven’t received a response yet, please wait at least 48 hours before submitting it again.

The error is not a scam; it indicates a problem completing the Microsoft Rewards redemption, typically caused by verification, region, or policy issues.

For Microsoft Rewards redemptions (including game codes like League of Legends), the most common causes are:

    1. Phone/SMS verification issues
      • A valid mobile or landline number is required; VoIP numbers are not allowed.
      • If the phone number has already been used on multiple Rewards accounts (maximum 6 accounts per household), redemption can fail.
      • Too many failed verification attempts can temporarily block verification for 48 hours.
      • If the verification step behind the QR flow fails, the order will not complete.
    2. Region and travel restrictions
      • Rewards points must be redeemed in the same region/market as the Microsoft account.
      • Redemption cannot be completed while traveling or appearing to be in another region.
      • Using a VPN or proxy that hides the true location can cause the order to fail and is considered a violation of program policy.
    3. General redemption/order issues
      • The specific reward (e.g., League of Legends code) may be out of stock or temporarily unavailable.
      • Orders can be cancelled or blocked if the system detects policy violations such as attempting to redeem in multiple regions or using a VoIP number.

    Recommended steps:

    1. Check phone verification
      • Ensure the phone number used for verification is a mobile or landline, not VoIP.
      • If there were multiple failed attempts, wait at least 48 hours before trying again.
      • If the same phone number is used on many Rewards accounts, try a different valid number if possible.
    2. Check region and connection
      • Confirm the Microsoft account region matches the country/region where the redemption is being attempted.
      • Turn off any VPN or proxy and retry from a normal home network in the correct region.
    3. Retry and check order status
      • After verifying the above, try redeeming again.
      • Then go to the Rewards dashboard → RedeemOrder history and check if the order appears and whether it shows a status or code.
    4. If the issue persists
      • If the error continues after confirming phone, region, and network, contact Microsoft Rewards support via the Rewards site so the Rewards team can review the account and the failed order in detail.

The program itself is legitimate and part of the Microsoft account ecosystem; the error indicates a technical or policy-related block, not a scam.
