    Hi, Cheruiyot Brian Kirui

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.

Sorry for this unwanted experience that you're facing. This “Correlation ID” error usually means the sign-in/session request is getting blocked or failing on your browser or network side, not that you typed the wrong password.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

Open an InPrivate/Incognito window, then sign in again, if it works there, clear cookies/cache for Microsoft sites and retry. Stale sign-in tokens are a common trigger for correlation ID errors.

Switch networks (mobile hotspot is best), or temporarily disable IPv6 on your device/router. This service has known IPv4-only behavior, and some IPv6 setups can break access.

Fully sign out of all Microsoft accounts in the browser (work and personal), close the browser, then sign in with the personal Microsoft account from https://www.office.com. Mixed accounts can confuse the login flow.

If you’re on a company network/VPN, try without it. Firewalls/proxies sometimes block *.microsoftpersonalcontent.com on HTTPS.

Still stuck: contact Microsoft Support and give them the Correlation ID plus the exact timestamp, it’s meant for server-side tracing.

Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.

Since this is a public forum, we will hide your personal identifiable information, and I have sent that image of yours containing your personal identifiable information in a private message so we can work together to resolve the issue. Also, please check your private message in case you want to share another screenshot to avoid leaking your PII by click on the Private Message button as show below.
