Constantly Asking

To Whom It May Concern:

I already purchased Microsoft 365 basic or whatever it is. But any time I try to use the app, I am constantly being asked to purchase or upgrade. Is there a way to show that I have purchased and stop this feature. Don't get me wrong I appreciate the hustle but, it is getting annoying. Please Help!

Thanks

Dwayne

The Microsoft 365 Basic plan does not include the full desktop or mobile Office apps; it mainly provides 100 GB of OneDrive storage and access to the free web versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a browser. Because there is no license for the full apps with Microsoft 365 Basic, the Word app will continue to prompt to purchase or upgrade when trying to use premium features or the full installed apps.

To avoid the constant purchase/upgrade prompts, use Office on the web instead of the installed apps, or upgrade the subscription to Microsoft 365 Personal or Family, which include the right to install and fully activate the Office apps on devices.

If unsure which subscription is active, sign in to the Microsoft account and check the current plan and its expiry under Services & subscriptions. If it shows Microsoft 365 Basic, that behavior is expected and only the web apps are fully included.
