Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Do you see your Office 365 Subscription under your Microsoft account here on this page?

    https://account.microsoft.com/services

If the subscription is active under your account, please let us know the error message you receive when trying to activate it on the Office desktop applications.

You can try signing out of the app and signing in again.

(or) Try repairing office applications once, and then sign in again to register your license.

For a Microsoft 365 home subscription that appears paid but is not working, follow these steps:

    1. Confirm the subscription is active
      1. Go to your Microsoft account, Payment & billing page.
      2. Sign in with the same Microsoft account used to purchase Microsoft 365.
      3. Under your Microsoft 365 subscription, check the status:
        • If it shows Has recurring billing, the subscription is active.
        • If it shows Expires on [date], it may not have renewed correctly and needs renewal.
    2. If renewal shows as active but apps are not working
      • If the subscription is active and the Install button is not working or apps still show as unlicensed, the guidance is to contact Microsoft Support so they can check the subscription and activation on the account.
    3. If payments were attempted multiple times
      • If a card was declined or there is an outstanding balance, review and correct the payment method details (card number, expiry date, name, address, and available funds) as described in the payment troubleshooting section, then resubmit the payment.
      • If the card continues to be declined after details are confirmed, contact the bank to ensure the card is active and not being blocked.
    4. If the issue persists
      • Because resolving account-specific billing and activation problems requires secure tools, open a support request with Microsoft Billing/Support so an agent can review the subscription, payments, and activation status and fix the issue.
