I would like to complain about the reviewers of the Microsoft Store. They often use random test images to create unnecessary difficulties for me.Could they please configure the relevant settings properly by themselves? This kind of review behavior is extremely unprofessional and unreasonable.

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing your question.

I understand how frustrating it is when user‑submitted review images make things harder instead of helping, especially when you rely on the Store for accurate and relevant product information.

According to Microsoft’s official guidance, all Microsoft Store reviews and images are user‑generated content and must follow Microsoft’s ratings and reviews policies. When reviewers upload irrelevant or unhelpful images, the correct way to address this is to report those specific reviews directly in the Microsoft Store so Microsoft’s moderation team can evaluate and remove them if they violate policy. You can do this by opening the product page, locating the review, selecting the flag icon, choosing the most appropriate violation category, and submitting it for review.

Are the inappropriate images appearing under multiple apps, or is this happening with one specific product page?

Feel free to let me know which product or category you’re seeing this on I’m happy to help guide you on how to report them effectively so Microsoft can review and take action.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel

Reviews and review images in the Microsoft Store are user-generated content and must follow Microsoft’s ratings and reviews policies. Reviews that contain spam, irrelevant content, or other policy violations can be removed by Microsoft.

To address inappropriate or unhelpful review images or content, use the built-in reporting feature:

    1. Open the Microsoft Store and go to the product detail page where the problematic review appears.
    2. Locate the specific review.
    3. Select the flag icon next to that review.
    4. In the Report this review to Microsoft window, under Potential violation, choose the most appropriate reason.
    5. Select Submit.

Microsoft will evaluate the report and may remove the review or associated images if they violate Microsoft policies. Use of the “report a concern” feature is subject to the Microsoft Services Agreement.

If the concern is broader (for example, systemic misuse of reviews), continue reporting individual reviews as above so they can be reviewed and, if necessary, removed.
