Hotmail account not receiving all emails, seemingly randomly

I have a hotmail.com account that I have used for over two decades with good reliability. Over the past few months I have not been consistently receiving all emails being sent to my hotmail.com address (but I am still getting some emails). All of these are addressed to my correct email address. I have been told that people are getting generic bounce back emails from Microsoft while some emails still get through and others don't from the same sender).

After researching comments here from people with a similar problem, I have confirmed:

  • they are not going to my junk mail – checked continuously.
  • they are not going into the “other” folder and I don’t use focused inbox
  • they are not going into “conversation history”
  • there are no “rules” redirecting them
  • there are no issues receiving emails at a gmail.com account from same senders
  • they are not blocked; the domains are whitelisted/on my safe sender list

Please advise best course of action other than switching email providers due to lack of reliability.

    Thanks, EmilyS726.

Since I didn't directly receive the bounce back emails, I don't have any error codes that might have been there, but I will see if anyone still has the bounce back emails that they can share. The two most recent domains where there is a confirmed bounce backs are @mauldineconomics.com and @vitas.com.

    Best Regards,

    James

    Hello

If you can share some of the bounce example, it will be super helpful as they might contain error code that could provide some crucial info regarding the cause.

Also, can you share a few of those domains whose emails didn't come in? For example, @business.com? Thanks!!
