Hi! Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with this. Could you please share more information about how you are trying to switch to Classic Outlook and what happens when you do? Do you get an error message? Have you tried searching for Outlook Classic in the taskbar search box?

I have the Home 2024 version. Is that what is causing the problem?

To get back to classic Outlook contacts, first ensure classic Outlook is actually running and that the toggle is available and working.

    1. In new Outlook for Windows, use the toggle at the top right to switch back to classic Outlook. New Outlook will close and classic Outlook should open.
    2. If the toggle does not appear in classic Outlook, possible causes include:
      • Unsupported Outlook version (for example, a one-time purchase like Outlook 2019/2021).
      • Unsupported account types (POP or on-premises Exchange) in the profile.
      • Admin or policy settings hiding the toggle.
    3. If the toggle is visible but does nothing, this is usually an installation/security issue. Follow the guidance in the deployment article to resolve installation issues, then try the toggle again.
    4. Once classic Outlook is open, use the classic Contacts folder (People view) for your contacts instead of the new Outlook interface.

If the toggle is intentionally hidden by policy or registry (HideNewOutlookToggle), contact the admin managing the device or adjust that setting so the toggle is visible and classic Outlook can be launched.
