A fully managed end-to-end service for digitally signing code, documents, and applications. (formerly Trusted Signing)
Identity validation for Artifact Signing can take from 1 to 7 business days and can take longer if additional documentation is required. When more documentation is needed, a notification is sent by email and the request status in the Azure portal changes to Action Required.
If the status is still In Progress after more than 7 days and no Action Required state or documentation request email has appeared, direct assistance must be requested from Microsoft:
- In the Azure portal, confirm that the correct Artifact Signing account and identity validation request are being checked and that the status is indeed still In Progress.
- Verify that the primary and secondary email addresses used in the request can receive emails with links from external senders and that no messages from Microsoft are being blocked or filtered.
- Contact Microsoft for help with identity validation using one of these channels:
- Open a support request via Azure Support from the Azure portal.
- Post a question on Microsoft Q&A using the artifact-signing tag.
Creating additional identity validation requests for the same entity that is already in progress does not speed up processing and is not recommended.
If the current request ultimately fails (status Failed) or the email verification link expires, a new identity validation request must be created in the Azure portal to proceed.
