Hi, I'm John!
To help narrow down the issue:
- Is the account marked as a child account?
- Are you getting any error message?
- Are you removing them from family.microsoft.com while signed in with the organizer account?
If is is a child account:
The adult who originally granted consent for the child’s account has to manage that consent first. Here’s what you need to do:
- Sign in at https://family.microsoft.com with the adult account that granted consent.
- Select the child’s profile and go to Manage consent.
- Remove the consent there first.
- After that’s done, sign back in as the organizer, you’ll now see the option to Remove from the family group for that child.
