Microsoft 365 Outlook closing when minimized

I am using Windows 10 and Microsoft 365. In Outlook, when I minimize the window, the outlook program closes. It does not just minimize to the task bar, it actually closes. I have the icon on the task bar and when I click on it, it actually opens again, not just maximizing. In Word, if I minimize the window, it shows in the taskbar underlined. Outlook does not do this, it actually closes. Please tell me how to keep Outlook open?

When you do ALT + Tab, it will show you which programs are open. It will not show Outlook as being open once you have minimized it, but it will show Word being open.

Hi. I'm Brian and I will do my best to help you.

It could be that you have configured Outlook to minimize to the Notification Area and not the Taskbar. Is the Outlook icon showing in the Notification Are (near the clock)? Be sure to configure Windows to show all icons in the Notification Area. If you see it, right-click and deselect "Hide When Minimized." Brian, This worked. Thank you so much. I don't remember ever changing anything, so maybe it was a software update.
