Never mind, it seems that this issue isn't actually an issue, just misleading. I thought it was causing other problems but it seems to have fixed itself. I think since it is only looking at first 1,000 rows or so it shows as 100% empty since those rows ARE empty.
Power Query Says column is 100% empty but its NOT

I have a column of depth values and nulls. They are decimal values (1.2, 5.6 etc). For some reason Power Query is not recognizing the data and saying the column is 100% empty (0% valid, 0% Error). I changed data type to decimal and that didn't help. If I filter on a value it recognizes the data but when I remove the filter the column goes back to 100% empty. Any ideas how to fix this issue?
thanks!
