    Dear Larissa Collum

Thank you for your question and for sharing the details into Microsoft Q&A Forum.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve already spent a few hours trying to set up the new notebook and that Photos/Pictures still isn’t working as expected. I understand how frustrating that can be, especially on a new device. To help narrow this down and guide you to the right steps, could you please share a bit more detail about what you’re seeing?

    • To help me assist you, could you briefly describe what happens when you try to open Photos or access your Pictures?
    • Could you please share the brand and model of your new notebook?
    • If there is an error message, please paste the text here (or share a screenshot).
    • What Windows version is on the new notebook (Windows 10 or Windows 11)?
    • Are you signed in with a Microsoft account on the device?

You don’t need to worry about choosing tags, please describe the issue, and I’ll adjust the most appropriate tags for you.

While my initial response may not fully resolve the issue, I truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution. Thank you so much for your understanding.
