    Dear @Bryan Stevens,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, you want to cancel your subscription, for better understanding your situation, could you please confirm which type of account are you using? (personal account or business account)?

And which step did you get stuck?

In the meantime, I assume you are using a business account.

For more information, please refer to this article Cancel your subscription in the Microsoft 365 admin center

In case you're using personal account, you can refer to Cancel your Microsoft subscription

I hope it could meet your expectations, the more information you provide, the more effectively I can support.

    Looking forward to your update.

To cancel a Microsoft 365 subscription, use the Microsoft 365 admin center (for business) or the Services & subscriptions page (for personal). For a business subscription (as indicated by the tag):

    1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=2024339 and sign in with an admin account.
    2. In Simplified view, select Subscriptions. In Dashboard view, go to Billing > Your products.
    3. Select the subscription to cancel.
    4. On the subscription details page:
      • If the page shows Subscription and payment settings, select Cancel subscription, then choose Cancel now or Cancel before the next renewal date, select Next, choose a reason, and confirm.
      • If the page shows Billing settings with Subscription status, select Cancel subscription. If you are outside the grace period, select the option to edit the recurring billing settings, set recurring billing to Off, and Save so it will not renew.
    5. Repeat for any other active subscriptions.

Important data notes for business subscriptions:

    • After cancellation, the subscription status becomes Disabled with reduced functionality until it is deleted.
    • When cancellation becomes effective, users lose access to their data. Before canceling, have users save OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online files elsewhere.
    • Customer data left behind might be deleted after 30 days and no later than 180 days after cancellation.

If this is a personal (non-business) Microsoft 365 subscription instead:

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the same Microsoft account used to buy the subscription.
    2. Select Cancel subscription (or Upgrade or Cancel), then follow the prompts.
    3. If only Turn on recurring billing is shown, the subscription is already set to expire on the listed date and will not be charged again.

Canceling a subscription does not delete the Microsoft account itself; it only stops future billing and eventually removes subscription benefits.
