How to share access to my OneNote with others?

My company OneNote stopped sharing with others. How to do i restore share access to my OneNote with others?

Step 1: Verify Permissions in the Web Version 

To determine if the issue is with the OneNote app or the underlying storage, please check the permissions online: 

1. Go to OneNote.com and sign in with your account. 
2. Open the notebook in question. 
3. Click on the Share button in the top-right corner. 
4. Select Manage Access. Ensure the individuals are still listed. If they are missing, please re-invite them here. 

Step 2: Force a Manual Sync 

If permissions look correct online but others cannot see your updates, the app may be hung: 

• OneNote for Windows 10/Mac: Right-click the notebook name in the sidebar and select Sync > Sync This Notebook. 
• OneNote (Desktop App): Go to File > Info > View Sync Status and click Sync Now. 

Step 3: Clear Office Credentials (Windows) 

If you receive a "User Canceled" or "Sign-in required" error that prevents sharing, your stored credentials might be corrupted: 

1. Close all Office applications. 
2. Open Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager. 
3. Select Windows Credentials. 
4. Remove all credentials related to MicrosoftOffice16 or OneDrive. 
5. Restart OneNote and sign in again to re-establish the secure connection. 

Step 4: Check for Shared Link Expiration 

If you shared the notebook via a "Specific People" link, it is possible an expiration date was set: 

1. Right-click the notebook in your OneDrive or SharePoint folder. 
2. Select Manage Access. 
3. Check if the sharing links have expired or been deactivated and create a new link if necessary.
