Microsoft 365 Student offer: LinkedIn Premium Career activation email never received

I redeemed the Microsoft 365 Student offer that includes 12 months of Microsoft 365 Premium and LinkedIn Premium Career (Microsoft announcement: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/blog/2026/01/15/college-students-now-get-12-months-of-microsoft-365-premium-and-linkedin-premium-career-on-us/).

Microsoft 365 is active and my student verification is complete, but the LinkedIn Premium Career benefit never activated. After redeeming the student offer, I expected an activation/redemption email/link for LinkedIn Premium Career. On LinkedIn, the Premium page shows I have no Premium subscription and only shows upsell offers (e.g., “Reactivate Premium 50%”), so there is no active LinkedIn Premium Career benefit on my LinkedIn account.

Can Microsoft confirm whether an activation code/link was issued to my account, and resend the activation email/link (or provide the redemption link)?

Based on the available information, there is no direct way in the portals described to confirm or resend a LinkedIn Premium Career activation email for the Microsoft 365 Student offer. However, there are a few concrete checks and next steps supported by similar scenarios in the context:

    1. Verify that the Microsoft 365 student subscription itself is active and correctly associated with the intended Microsoft account:
      • Go to the Services & subscriptions page.
      • Sign in with the same Microsoft account used to redeem the student offer.
      • Confirm that the Microsoft 365 subscription from the student offer is listed as active and that the expiry date is correct.
    2. Check for the LinkedIn-related email from a desktop or different client:
      • A similar promotion case shows that the offer email did arrive but was only visible when checking from a different device/client (for example, it did not appear in the phone’s Gmail app but was visible in webmail on a Mac).
      • Sign in to the email account used for the student offer from a desktop browser and check:
        • Inbox
        • Junk/Spam
        • Promotions/Other tabs
      • Search for terms like “LinkedIn”, “Premium”, or “offer”.
    3. Confirm academic verification and retry any alternative verification flows if available:
      • In a related academic verification scenario, using an alternative verification method (“verify in a different way”) and carefully re-entering accurate information allowed the system to complete verification successfully.
      • If the student offer portal presents any option to re-verify or “verify in a different way”, use that option and ensure all academic details are accurate.
    4. If the email still cannot be found and no LinkedIn Premium entitlement appears on the LinkedIn account, direct support is required:
      • For Microsoft 365 subscription and account issues (including promotional entitlements tied to a Microsoft 365 subscription), use Microsoft 365 support channels:
      • When opening the support request, provide:
        • The Microsoft account used to redeem the student offer (do not share it publicly).
        • Confirmation that Microsoft 365 from the student offer is active.
        • Confirmation that academic verification is complete.
        • The date the offer was redeemed and that no LinkedIn Premium activation email/link has been received.

Only Microsoft support can check the back-end status of the promotion on the account, confirm whether a LinkedIn Premium activation code/link was generated, and either reissue the activation email or provide the appropriate redemption path.
