How do i regain my old skype number that i had but now i dont

Old Skype Numbers cannot be moved into Microsoft Teams Free or used there as a calling number.

1. Skype Numbers can be assigned, reallocated, or cancelled only within Skype/Skype Manager while the service is active.
2. With Skype retired, existing calling and Skype Number subscriptions stopped being sold to new customers, and remaining paid users can only use the Skype Dial Pad on the web or within Teams Free to spend remaining credit.
3. Skype Numbers themselves cannot be transferred to Teams Free personal accounts, and Teams Free does not support phone calling options.

If the original Skype Number subscription has ended or the number has been deactivated, it cannot be recovered in Teams Free. To continue using a phone number with Teams, a Teams Business (paid) setup with appropriate Teams Phone licensing is required, and a number would need to be obtained or ported through that service, not from an old Skype Number.
