Hi,
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. I'm happy to help.
Since your Outlook account was hacked and you’re receiving ransom emails, the first thing you need to do is reset your password immediately.
- Open a private or incognito browser window and go to https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx
- Follow the steps to verify your identity and create a strong, brand new password that you have never used before.
After successfully changing your password, go to https://account.microsoft.com/security
Open Advanced security options and look for the option to sign out everywhere.
While you are still in the security settings, turn on two step verification.
Follow the setup instructions and make sure you add multiple verification methods like your phone number, alternate email, and preferably the Microsoft Authenticator app for better protection.
Next, check your Outlook settings: https://outlook.live.com
Click the gear icon, then go to Mail and open Rules.
Delete any rules you did not create because hackers often add rules to hide incoming emails.
Also check the Forwarding section and make sure it is turned off and no unfamiliar email address is listed.
Also, review your recovery information under Advanced security options and remove any phone numbers or email addresses you do not recognize.
Do not reply to the ransom emails and do not click any links inside them.
