Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

    Try one of the following.

    1. Open any web browser and launch an incognito tab.
    2. Paste this link in the address bar and sign in with your Microsoft account. https://account.microsoft.com/profile
    3. Under 'Profile info', check the Country or region settings, Language, Regional formats, etc...

    *--

Then, in a web browser, go to https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/options/general/timeAndLanguage and set the Language (Country/region), Time zone, and other options to your local settings (for example, English (United States)).

If you are running the new Outlook for Windows app, go to its settings > General > Language and time to set your default language.

    *--

In addition, ensure you have protected your account with a Strong password and enabled two-factor authentication to prevent this issue from happening in the future.

    1. Reset your Microsoft account password.

Open an InPrivate/Incognito browser window and use the following link to reset your password: https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx

    2. Sign out of your account from all sessions.

Once the password reset is successful, sign in with your account here: https://account.live.com/proofs/Manage

Scroll down until you find Sign out everywhere. Select Sign out everywhere.

    3. Enable two-step verification.

On the Security settings page, under Additional security, turn on Two-step verification. Make sure you have at least three security verification methods active.

To switch Outlook back to English, change the language setting in Outlook itself and, if needed, in your Microsoft 365 account.

For new Outlook for Windows (and Outlook on the web/Microsoft365.com):

    1. At the top of Outlook, select Settings (gear icon).
    2. Select General > Language and time.
    3. In Language (Country/Region), choose English from the list.
    4. Select Save.
    5. Close and reopen Outlook to ensure the change is applied.

If Outlook is still in Chinese, also check the Microsoft 365 display language:

    1. Sign in to Microsoft 365 with the same account.
    2. Select Settings (top corner), then Change your language.
    3. Under Display Language, select the pencil icon and choose English.
    4. Adjust time zone if needed, then save.
    5. Sign out and sign back in so the new language is fully applied.

If using classic Outlook instead of new Outlook:

    1. Open Outlook.
    2. Select the File tab > Options > Language.
    3. Under Set the Office Language Preferences, set Office display language to English and make it the default.
    4. Select OK, then restart Outlook.
