The “license not found” message usually means Office is signed into a different Microsoft account than the one that owns the purchase.
Please check which account has the license:
- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services
- Sign in and confirm Microsoft Office 2024 appears under Products you’ve purchased.
- Then open Word (or any Office app) and check the signed-in account under File > Account (Windows) or Word > Settings > Account (Mac).
If the email doesn’t match the account that shows the license:
- Sign out of all accounts in Office
- Close all apps
- Reopen and sign in with the correct account
If the license appears in your account but still won’t activate, try restarting your computer and signing in again.
